Mushroom Garden
Design 10
The back of my house is north facing and we have a small back yard that is shady, damp and currently covered in scrap metal and old rope.
I have wanted to continue my experiments with mushroom growing for some time and recently my friends have acquired a mushroom lab where they have been making a lot of spawn but it has no home to go to - a perfect time for me to set up my garden! I plan to look for a free source of woodchip from either the council, local gardeners or arbourists. The design to the left is not to scale, The area available for mushroom growth is 3mX4m. I have left space to maneuver in the middle. (Click to enlarge image) |

Produce no wasteThe spent wood chip will go to my compost after the mushrooms have done with it.
